As of July 10, 2018 the west half of stage 1 (approx. 660 ft.) has been poured. The Contractor’s plan moving forward is to focus on building the temporary road from Mont to Bollinger while removing the existing pavement for stage 2. Attached is the staging exhibit for reference. Next week they will pour the other half of stage 1, weather permitting. By the end of the month, stage 1 will be complete, and Mont Road will be open to traffic.
However, there will be an unrelated closure on Maple Grove Road until roughly the middle of August that will not allow any traffic to use Ridgeview Drive/Maple Grove Road as a way between Troy and Glen Carbon. IL 162 and IL 159 will continue to be the most direct route. Please make sure to note this in any public press releases or informational posts.
Next week (July 16th-22nd) there will also be a complete closure of Old Troy Road at I-270 overpass for bridge painting. All emergency services serving Old Troy Road north of the I-270 overpass will need to come from the north via Cottonwood Road and utilize the temporary road. The duration of this closure is scheduled to be 1 week, and should be open the following Monday July 23rd, 2018.
Anticipate completion date in January 1, 2020 weather permitting. The Village has been in contact with all jurisdiction involved. Information on the actual road closure dates and times of the construction and road closure will be on the Village Web site and Police Department Web Site or calling Jamie Bowden,Village Administrator or Jennifer Doody, P.E., Public Works Director at 288-1200.
